The SI prefixes are used to describe SI quantity units. They simplify unit expression and hence can be handled more easily. For example, 2.5 pico second (ps) is in fact 2.5 x 10-12 second; 3.4 micro
meter (mm) is in fact 3.4 x 10-6 m. The prefixes and their corresponding factors are listed below:
